Build and lead effective innovation teams: balancing acts

DIO206 cmjnOrganizations can successfully manage innovation only if they have the ability to build and lead effective project teams around their innovation initiatives.

Fig_2_7An effective project team will become a great innovation team if it can manage key trade-offs in terms of level of pressure, diversity, slack and tolerance for diverging and outside perspectives.

DIO208 cmjnBuilding an effective innovation team means mobilizing transformational project leaders and team members with the right profiles, background, motivation and skills – not just whoever happens to be “on the bench” when the initiative is launched.
